Brief Poems

I.

Putting on indifference like a shabby coat
I didn't want to ignore you
But you made it so necessary

II.

A wolf at the door
Come to whet the white capstone
Of his ugly fangs

III.

I walked into my room today,
And reeled under the sudden weight of blood,
Of salt, the smell of skin

Host only to your dark forces.
Turn around slowly, and retrace your shape
Many little slivers, all of you

Time is our only hurt
And unhappiness our only shame.
